Vietnam Electricity (EVN) is the owner of Dong Nai 4 hydro power project. And Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) was selected to be the main consultant for investigation and design of this project.

Dam of Dong Nai 4 hydro power plant

The project site is located in Dak Glong District, Dak Nong Province and Bao Lam District, Lam Dong Province. Dong Nai 4 hydro power plant includes 2 units with the design capacity of 340 MW (2x170 MW). The plant is expected to provide an average output of 1.109 million kWh per year to the national power network. Besides, the project will supply water for agricultural production in the downstream and create momentum for socio-economic development in the region.

Putting unit 1 into operation would improve considerably the shortage of power during peak hours in dry season.
