In recent years, besides the main business line of consultant engineering services, PECC2 has made great efforts to seek investment opportunities, creating value added through the investment projects as well as more employment. All the PECC2 investment projects are selected carefully and aimed at the mini hydropower and renewable energy projects. With the advantages of professional consulting services, the PECC2 investment projects are regarded highly feasible.
Currently, the Government of Vietnam has paid special attention to promoting the development of renewable energy sources to ensure energy security, mitigate climate change and protect the environment by issuing series of policies to support the development of wind power, biomass, solar power, etc.
With the approval by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) - the biggest shareholder of PECC2, over the past two years, in addition to the expansion of business operation of the Company, PECC2 has actively invested in Thac Ba 2 Hydropower Plant Project, Solar Power Project in Vinh Tan Complex, Tan Thuan Wind Power Project and Son My 3 Solar Power Project, etc..
