Panorama of the Conference

The ceremony spent most  of its time discussing the remarkable results of the business operation of the Company in 2013  as well as the  proposed directions and assignments in 2014 It can be seen that the year 2013 was  full of difficulties and challenges. However, all departments and divisions of the Company have together combined and attempted continuously to gain remarkable achievements and reach target proposed in the Summation 2012, even exceeded 12,5% of proposed plan. PECC2 has approved and put into use the segment of corridor refurbishment of the existing circuit 2 of 500kV Pleiku – My Phuoc – Cau Bong line; 500kV Vinh Tan – Song May line; stage 1 from Vinh Tan to 1501 to test the power supply for Vinh Tan 2 Power Plan; 22kV line of submarine cable supplying power to Coto Island District, Quang Ninh Province; and many other network projects with voltage of 500V-110kV of Power section. Especially, PECC2 has joined in the Contractor consortium of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (Korea), Mitsubishi (Japan), PECC2 and Pacific Cooperation, in the form of EPC (Engineering – Procurement - Construction), with the total contract value of USD 1.36 billion. This is the first General Construction Contract of Thermal Power Project, in which Vietnam Consultants have joined in under form of EPC. In 2013, employment and living condition of employees have been guaranteed and improved. PECC2 is attempting step by step to improve consulting and designing competence, maintain and strengthen competitive advantage in consultancy, reinforce and enhance management competence of the divisions  and  entire company.

Speakers at the conference also have strictly judged and pointed out weak points in 2013, thus focused on the solutions and measurements in 2014 and the following years.

At the ceremony, noble awards were rewarded to individuals and departments who had outstanding contribution to the development of PECC2 in 2013.

Three Labour medals were awarded to Mr Pham Van Thao (Chairman & former Chief Operating Officer, Mr Tran Quang Lam (Chief Operating Officer) and Mr Dao Van Lam (Manager of Planning and Investment Department). Besides, Merits of the Prime Minister were awarded to 5 departments  and 12 individuals, Emulation Flags of Vietnam Electricity  to 5 departments : Thermal Power Engineering Center, Transmission & Distribution Engineering Center, Hydropower Engineering Center, Southern General Investigation Enterprise and Electro-Mechanical Enterprise.

After the ceremony, was the Year-end Party held at the Convention Center – Metropole with the participation of distinguished guests and more than 350 employees. The party has given the happy and merry atmosphere with many performances of PECC2’s music band
