The expanded Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant is one of the urgent projects contributing to solving the power shortage in the South after 2020 the Government, invested in EVN, and EVNGENCO 3 as the Project Management Consultant. The project is represented by the Management Board of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Project, with a total investment of over VND 23,000 billion, a total installed capacity of 600 MW (1x600MW), and electricity production of about 3.6 billion kWh/year. This project has an important meaning, marking a new development step in Vietnam's electricity industry with some outstanding features such as the first large-scale use of coal using supercritical steam parameters built in Vietnam. Vietnam, the localization rate is high, and the first large-scale thermal power plant project is presided over by a Vietnamese consultant.
